FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where is your studio located?

I am currently producing work from my home in Springfield, Virginia.  Please contact me if you would like to arrange an appointment to view work in which you may be interested.  My former studio was at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, Virginia.

Do you take commissions?

Yes. If you are interested commissioning work, we will set up a written agreement which will specify what is expected of each party. A 50% advance is due at the time of the agreement.

What media do you use?

I currently paint with acrylics on canvas and wood. My sculpture is done in mainly with ferrous metals.

Do you teach?

I consider myself reasonably good at what I do, but conveying to others how to do it is not one of my strengths. I’ll be happy to talk with you about technique, but I have no plans to teach.

Do you offer a welding service?

Yes. I can weld ferrous metals with a MIG welder. I prefer to limit this to art, but I’m willing to to weld other small projects, and I’m willing to travel to you (at extra expense) if your project can not be moved easily. If you require extensive welding, please contact someone who specializes in welding!

Why can't I buy directly off the website?

Due to the fact that the artwork may be for sale in another location, such as a gallery, show, or installation, it is impossible to keep my  web inventory 100% up-to-date in real time. If you are interested in  purchasing a piece, please contact me through this website. I will  respond and assist to make your purchase go quickly and easily.

Why don't you display your prices?

The main reason I don’t display prices is because if you’re seriously interested in my artwork, I want to hear from you! It’s simply a tactic I’m using to get the conversation started. Don’t worry, I won’t send  you spam or badger you if you decide not to buy.
